(KLZA) -- The staff and administration of Falls City High School have announced the selections for August High School Students of the Month. The honors go to the following students:
Upperclassmen- Reese Hogue, a senior, is the son of Don and Terri Hogue. Baylee Vrtiska, a junior, is the daughter of Kim and Kris Vrtiska.
Underclassmen- Erik Eickhoff, a freshman, is son of Marty and Mary Eickhoff. Jordan Phroper, a sophomore, is the daughter of Bill and Christine Phroper.
The students were nominated by high school staff on their academic achievements, attitude, classroom contributions and work ethic. Each of the students was praised in nomination comments for “academic excellence, going above and beyond what was asked of them, their helpfulness, and their leadership, and serving as excellent role models for their peers,” according to high school principal Gale Dunkhas.
