The Kansas Cattlemen's Association and the LaCrosse Livestock Market are hosting an Animal Health and Nutrition Seminar and prime rib supper at the LaCrosse Livestock Market on Wednesday, September 4th, 2013. The supper will begin at 6:00 pm followed by presentations from Merck Animal Health, High Plains Nutrition Serives, and Zoetis. The evening seminar will focus on nutrition factors during drought years, important vaccinations at weaning time, and key factors to consider when starting a growing program. "We are going to have three short presentations that will provide a wealth of information to producers. This is a meeting that will help prepare for weaning and bring more profitability to cattle operations. We encourage folks to come out, enjoy a great evening meal prepared by Frank Seidel of LaCrosse Livestock Market, get some information, and visit with animal health specialists and KCA staff. Walnut Creek District Extension Agent Jared Petersilie will also be in attendance to answer questions and visit with producers. We are looking forward to a wonderful evening and are excited to talk with area cattlemen," stated KCA Executive Director Brandy Carter. This meal and seminar are free and open to the public.
