(KTNC) - A former Richardson County Attorney was appointed to fill the position Tuesday.
Richardson County Commissioners named Deputy County Attorney Doug Merz as County Attorney.
Merz was one of three candidates commissioners interviewed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former County Attorney Robert Meyer.
The appointment is good for the remainder of the term, until January 2015.
