(KAIR) -- The Effingham School District will move forward with the demolition of two of their old buildings.
The USD 377 board Monday night accepted a bid from Martin Construction of Effingham for the demolition of buildings “A” and “B” for roughly 32 thousand dollars.
Superintendent Steve Wiseman says they plan to turn the property into parking lots.

Wiseman anticipates that the demolition to be delayed for two weeks as a result of the re-wiring.
The board also authorized Wiseman to draft a resolution for their consideration that would set a November election on a bond issue for various school building renovations.
Wiseman say the resolution is expected to be ready for consideration at the board's next meeting July 11th.
