(KAIR) -- A Topeka man will head to prison on a state charge related to counterfeit money.
Lance Greathouse was sentenced to 18 months in prison Monday in Atchison County District Court.
Judge Martin Asher ordered to this sentence for Greathouse to run consecutive to a recent sentence in Shawnee County for theft.
Greathouse was found guilty by a jury in May on a charge of giving false information.
He was arrested in August 2012 by the Atchison County Sheriff's Office for attempting to pass counterfeit 10 and 20 dollar bills in an attempt to bail an acquaintance out of Atchison County Jail.
County Attorney Gerald Kuckelman says Greathouse has 26 prior convictions.
