( KNZA )-The jury trial in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the children of Patricia Kimmi has been postponed to next month.
The trial, which had been set for next week in Atchison County District Court, has been rescheduled for the week of February 25th.
Named as defendants in the suit filed in September 2011 are Kimmi’s ex-husband, Eugene, and Roger Hollister.
The suit alleges the two conspired to cause Patricia Kimmi’s death.
So far, Hollister is the only person convicted in her death. He is currently serving a life sentence for capital murder.
Authorities say Kimmi was abducted from her rural Horton home in November 2009 and killed. Her remains were found in May 2010 along a ravine in a Nemaha County pasture.
The suit seeks more than $75,000 from the defendants.
