(KNZA)--Three applications are now submitted, awaiting Holton City Commission review.
The applicants are seeking to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of longtime Commissioner Janet Zwonitzer, who leaves to begin serving on the Jackson County Commission.
Applying to fill Zwonitzer’s soon to be vacant seat are Erich Campbell, Twila White and Rex Larrison.
City Manager Bret Bauer says the three submitted letters of interest will be reviewed, and discussed later this week, with a selection likely to happen when the City Commission meets for a special session at 8:00 Friday morning, at Holton City Hall.
Selected by voters in November to serve as a Jackson County Commissioner, Zwonitzer officially ends her City Commission service at the end of the year.
However, due to the holiday schedule, she will effectively end her time of service at the same time that the Commissioners meet for the special session.
