(KMZA)--Yesterday, the mother of missing Sabetha teen Kristina Richey said this(Play Audio)
Now, the nightmare for Diana and Mike Richey comes to an end, with their daughter located in good health.
That word comes from Sabetha Police Chief Robert Wahwasuck who says the 16-year-old runaway was located in Brownville, Oregon by the Linn County, Oregon Sheriff's Office.
Richey was found, unharmed, with truck driver, and Brownville resident, Shane Snodgrass, whom she apparently met in Nebraska City Friday night after he allegedly agreed to take her to Oregon.
The 43-year-old Snodgrass, a former resident of Morrill, is reportedly the father of a former school mate of Kristina, who lives in Oregon. Kristina had told friends she planned to meet up with her old friend, leading to the alleged role Snodgrass played in the case.
Snodgrass was taken into custody by Linn County authorities today, and booked into the Linn County Jail on a felony charge of custodial interference. He is expected to be conditionally released today with a court date of January 9th.
Wahwasuck says undetermined local charges are also possible.
Snodgrass was taken into custody after one of his employers was located, and allowed for a check of the semi-truck's GPS data which led investigators to Snodgrass.
Kristina abandoned her car Friday night in a Nebraska City parking lot, and did not notify her parents about her whereabouts.
Wahwasuck and investigators are working with Kristina's parents exploring ways to reunite the 16-year-old with her family, but it's not yet determined exactly when that will happen.
