(KNZA)--A Christmas tradition returns to Holton this season, with planning underway for the annual Christmas Dinner to be held on Christmas Day.
Freda Galer has been volunteering to organize the dinner for the past 13 years.
Turning 75 years old this past October, Galer, who also oversees the annual Thanksgiving community dinner, jokingly says while she wants to slow down, her co-volunteers won't let her(Play Audio)
It was during last month's Thanksgiving Dinner that plans for the Christmas meal took shape, with a smaller than usual turnout meaning more food on hand for Christmas;
However, despite having some volunteers ready to assist with the meal, Galer says more are needed(Play Audio)
Anyone interested in signing up to help with the dinner should simply call Galer(Play Audio)
The Christmas Dinner, on Christmas Day, will run from 11 until 1:00 at Saint Dominic Parish Hall in Holton. Everyone is invited to attend.
Carry-outs will also be available, and can be arranged in advance by calling Galer(Play Audio)
Those who wait until Christmas to make delivery arrangements should call the Parish Hall at 785-364-3621.
