(KNZA)--A new face will be seen on the USD 430 Board of Education, with a new board member selected Monday night.

In the absence of School Board President Tim McClaskey, Vice-President Gregg Dishon oversaw Monday night's meeting, which began with the selection process.
Dishon posed several questions to Selland, including his ability to work as part of a team; and, with Selland's answers deemed satisfactory, the Board unanimously approved him as the newest member to help oversee the South Brown County schools.
Following the Board's action, Selland was sworn in by Board Clerk Jean Anne Becker, and then seated as part of the School Board for the remainder of the session.
The position comes up for election in April 2013.
