(KNZA)--Falling by one vote during the August Primary election in his bid for 2nd district Brown County Commissioner, Republican Roger Madere, of Horton has decided to run again.
That means he enters the race as a write-in candidate, challenging fellow Republican incumbent Commissioner Keith Olsen who looks to hold onto the seat.

Madere, who says he would work to cut costs, starting with Commission salaries, also says he brings real world business knowledge to the table(Play Audio)
Madere reminds local voters who wish to support him in the November general election that his name will not be on the ballot; instead, as a write-in candidate, each individual will have to place his name there specifically(Play Audio)
The civic minded Madere, an insurance agent in Horton, has long served on local boards and committees, including his current role as a member of the USD 430 South Brown County Schools Board of Education.
