Atchison Man Pleads Guilty to Amended Drug Charges
09/18/2012

(KAIR) -- An Atchison man pleads guilty to drug charges as part of a plea deal stemming from a search warrant of his home earlier this summer.

John Pace pled guilty to charges of conspiracy to sell methamphetamine, no drug tax stamp and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

In exchange, charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and another misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia charge were dismissed.

Pace and his wife, Denise were arrested after police searched their Atchison residence in late June and discovered items associated with meth usage.

A 50 thousand dollar bond was re-instated Monday in Atchison County District Court after it was revoked earlier this month for Pace testing positive on a mandated urine analysis test, which was part of his bond conditions.

Denise Pace pled guilty last month on the charge of possession of methamphetamine and will be sentenced October 1st.

Sentencing for John Pace is scheduled for October 22nd.
