(KAIR) -- A 50-year-old Atchison man pleads no contest to aggravated battery as part of a plea deal Friday in Atchison County District Court.
In exchange, charges of burglary of a non-dwelling and violation of a protection order were dismissed against Harry Barnett.
He was arrested on August 31st within an hour of being released on bond from Atchison County Jail on multiple domestic battery counts.
The incident occurred in a barn near Jackson Park where he struck a 22-year-old female victim multiple times, causing numerous facial injuries.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 5th.
He remains in Atchison County Jail on 50 thousand dollars bond.
