(KNZA)--A rape suspect is behind bars.
That follows the discovery, and arrest, of Clinton Lee McKinney Wednesday evening stemming from a search by authorities.
He's jailed on bond of $200,000.
A Jackson County District Court warrant had been issued for the arrest of the 36-year-old McKinney, wanted for rape, kidnapping, aggravated sexual battery and domestic battery.
According to a press release from Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse earlier this week, seeking the public's help in locating McKinney, the crimes were committed on July 26th and July 28th in Jackson County.
Morse said, following the capture of McKinney, numerous tips regarding the fugitive's whereabouts were received from the public.
Assisting with the search and arrest of McKinney were the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and the Potawatomi Tribal Police Department.
