(KAIR) -- An accidental shooting of an Atchison man may lead to felony charges for the individuals involved due to alleged false information they gave to police about how the shooting occurred.
Atchison Police Chief Mike Wilson explains the sequence of events.

Wilson says they are withholding the names of the individuals, pending filing of the charges.
The man shot, was treated for non-life threatening leg injuries.
