06/05/2012

A 34-year-old Nortonville man pled no contest to amended drug charges Monday in Atchison County District Court.

Ernest Reynolds pled to possession of methamphetamine.

In exchange, charges of no drug tax stamp and conspiracy to possess methamphetamine were dismissed.

Reynolds also took a plea deal, pleading guilty to his second driving while suspended charge.

In exchange, several traffic offenses were dismissed.

He was arrested by Atchison Police on May 11th on a warrant after police learned he obtained methamphetamine from an individual in a deal in rural Atchison County.

After having his bond revoked last week, his bond was reinstated Monday.

Sentencing is scheduled for July 2nd.

Police believe his methamphetamine came from a residence in the 600 block of Parallel in Atchison where four individuals were arrested after police conducted a raid.

Officers discovered several substances believed to be methamphetamine and paraphernalia in the residence.

Brandon Walker, Sheena Kley and Craig Lawless were given charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia as a result of the raid.

They are all out on 10 thousand dollars bond and Kley and Walker will make their next appearances June 11th.

Lawless will make his next appearance June 18th.

Chantiel Kley was given five felony counts: possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of Atchison Middle School, no drug tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction, and conspiracy to possess methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Kley had her bond revoked last week and her bond reinstatement was denied.

She will make her next appearance on June 18th.
