A 19-year-old Atchison man will spend one year in the Atchison County Jail after being convicted of multiple misdemeanor charges.
Trevor Kiehl was sentenced Friday in Atchison County District Court on an amended count of criminal deprivation of property, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kiehl was first arrested on March 9th by Atchison Police for having the drug items on his person during a search following a traffic stop.
A charge of possession of methamphetamine charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement in that case.
After bonding out, he violated conditions of his bond and went back to jail.
Then, he was given the deprivation charge after the Atchison County Sheriff’s Department received a report that a vehicle belonging to a relative of Kiehl’s was taken for a period of time longer than what was agreed to.
Officers later discovered the vehicle in Topeka.
