Huron Man Pleads Guilty to Multiple Felonies

A 21-year-old Huron man could face prison time after pleading guilty to multiple felony charges as part of a plea deal Friday afternoon in Atchison County District Court.

Jacob Clem pled guilty to charges from three separate incidents, including, burglary of a dwelling, conspiracy to commit burglary of a dwelling and felony interference with a law enforcement officer.

In exchange, two counts of felony theft, and one count each of contributing to a child’s misconduct, and felony obstruction were dismissed.

In the burglary count, he was convicted of breaking into a residence on 10th Street in Atchison March 8th with 18-year old Jonathan Lewis, who pled to burglary and theft of electronics last month.

In the conspiracy to commit burglary charge, he was convicted of arranging the burglary of a residence on 258th Road in January.

Lewis pled guilty to committing the burglary.

For the interference charge, he pled to causing actions to interfere with his arrest.

Clem also awaits sentencing on one felony and 10 misdemeanor charges that occurred over the past year.

Sentencing on all charges is scheduled for June 22nd.

He remains in Atchison County Jail on 40 thousand dollars bond.
