Richardson County Commissioners received good news on the health insurance front during their Tuesday meeting with Blue Cross / Blue Shield representative Ken Dustin. Under the Nebraska Association of County Officials Group Plan there will be no increase in premiums for the next year.
Road Department Union Representatives met with the Commissioners to finalize the contract for October 1, 2011 through June 30th, 2013. Commissioners agreed to a counter proposal changing the amount of the medical reimbursement from $500 for calendar year 2013 to $650. All other changes to the contract had previously been agreed upon by both the County and the Union.
Commissioners reviewed the lone resume received for the position of County Assessor. Current Deputy County Assessor Pam Vice was the only person to submit a resume. Commissioners will interview her during their meeting next week.
The Board also presented former Richardson County Assessor Regina Cummings a momento recognizing her for her more than 29 years of service in the County Assessors office including more than 17 years as the County Assessor prior to her retiring April 1st.
Commissioners unanimously voted to deny a request form Sheriff Randy Houser to increase and make certain changes to the resolution concerning reimbursement rates for travel expenses of county employees.
The Board also voted to enter into a revised interlocal agreement with the Southeast Area Drug Enforcement Task Force for the next year. The amount is based on a per capita amount, which will total approximately $7,000.
