K-State struggles at home against Cyclones

Riding high after a pair of road victories against two Top 10 teams in Baylor and Missouri, the Kansas State Wildcats struggled against the Iowa State Cyclones at home.

It was an earlier struggle for both teams in the early going of the contest, but Iowa State started to find their groove using a 20-6 run to gain control of the contest in the first half and ulimately take at 10 point lead into the half. Kansas State would make a push in the second gaining the lead in their favor, but would at the end give it right back to the visiting Cyclones of Iowa State.

Senior guard, Scott Christopherson paced the way for the Cyclones netting himself a game-high 29 points in the victory, to help Iowa State improve to 21-8 and 11-5 in the Big 12. While Kansas State saw a career high day from junior forward, Jordan Henriquez, who tallied his first career double-double, finishing with 19 points, 12 rebounds and also seven blocks; but it wasn't enough for the Wildcats as they fell to 19-9 and 8-8 in the Big 12 with the loss.

The Wildcats will be in action next on Tuesday as they are on the road at College Station, Texas to take on the Texas A&M Aggies (13-15, 4-12).
