Two men face more severe formal charges than they were booked for after a Wednesday police chase in Atchison.

Caleb Jones and Christopher Haskell both made their first appearance Friday in Atchison County Court.

He also faces misdemeanor charges alleged to occur during the chase, including speeding, reckless driving; driving left of center and three stop sign violations.

Haskell, 25, of Leavenworth, faces the same charges, minus the traffic offenses and fleeing and eluding a law enforcement officer charge.

The marijuana charge is alleged to have occurred at 4th and Atchison Streets, near the Atchison Middle School.

Bond was set at 65 thousand dollars for Jones and 50 thousand dollars for Haskell.

They remain in Atchison County Jail.
