(KNZA)--Guilty.
That was the plea entered Friday in a Buchanan County courtroom by a 28-year-old St. Joseph man charged in connection with the death of an elderly St. Joseph man during a carjacking in June.
Paul Belding entered the guilty plea to a charge of 2nd-degree murder.
Sentencing was set for November 18th.
Police say 77-year-old Richard Gray suffered a traumatic brain injury while trying to prevent Belding from taking his van June 13th from the parking lot of St. Joseph convenience store. Gray died five days later at a local hospital.
