(KNZA)--The boil water advisory for Brown County Rural Water District #2 has been lifted.
The advisory was issued Tuesday evening due to the loss of pressure because of a water main break.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Friday that laboratory testing samples collected from the water district indicate no evidence of contamination and all other conditions that placed the system at risk of contamination are deemed by agency officials to be resolved.
As a result, customers no longer need to boil the water they use for drinking and food preparation prior to use.
