(KNZA)--Two California residents were arrested after a car stop in Jackson County yielded a large quantity of drugs.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says a deputy stopped a car Thursday morning after a report of an erratic driver who was allegedly texting while driving on U.S. Highway 75, south of Holton.
He says 30-year-old James Kilgore and his passenger, 21-year-old Hannah Nolan, were arrested after preciption drugs and marijuana were found during a search of their vehicle.
Kilgore was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of possession of Xanax, possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone, possession of hydrocodone with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, using an electronic device while driving and other offenses.
Nolan was booked on charges of possession of Xanax, conspiracy to commit possession of Xanax with intent to distribute, possession of hydrocodone, conspiracy to commit possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and other offenses.
Both are being held on $25,000 bond.
