(KNZA)--A Horton man already sentenced to prison for child sex-related crimes in Brown County has entered a plea to a felony charge involving the same child in Jackson County.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller says 20-year-old Dallas Bond pleaded no contest Friday in Jackson County District Court to one count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
Bond had been scheduled for a jury trial beginning December 15th on six felony counts—including rape.
Miller says Bond faces a life sentence, without the possibility of parole for 25 years, when he’s sentenced February 1st.
Authorities say Bond took a child born in 2003, under false pretenses, to a Holton motel room last August where alleged sexual offenses were committed.
In July, Bond was sentenced to nearly 7 ½ years in prison in Brown County on four felony counts—including kidnapping, sexual exploitation of a child, identity fraud and felony theft.
He remains in the Jackson County Jail.
