(KNZA)--A Hiawatha man facing a charge of aggravated battery waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday.
26-year-old Michael McCann was bound over to Brown County District Court for arraignment December 2nd on the felony charge.
McCann is charged in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident in early August.
He was arrested August 15th after he was found hiding out at a Hiawatha residence. Police were able to ping his phone to the residence.
55-year-old John Speckhals, of Hiawatha, has been charged with a felony count of obstructing apprehension for allegedly harboring McCann. A preliminary hearing for Speckhals is set for December 16th. He remains free on bond.
McCann remains in the Brown County Jail on $75,000 bond.
