(KNZA)--Charges are filed in connection with two residential burglaries in the Doniphan County community of White Cloud, and a man from Seneca and a woman from Hiawatha are being blamed for the crimes.
The Kansas Chief identifies the pair as 35-year-old Tad Alfrey and 25-year-old Julian Desire Geiger.
Both are charged with two counts of felony burglary, felony theft, and a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property.
Geiger additionally faces charges of felony possession of methamphetamines, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both of the homes were apparently accessed by forced entry to the doors.
The newspaper reports that the combined total of items stolen from both homes amounts to around $7,000.
The preliminary hearing for Alfrey is scheduled for Tuesday in a Doniphan County courtroom, while Geiger's preliminary hearing is set for the following Thursday.
