(KNZA)--Volunteers are being sought to assist with what's being called a “Citizen's Search” for a missing Mayetta woman. According to a Facebook page dedicated to finding Joan Rebar, who disappeared in late September, the search will take place from Noon until 4:00 Wednesday on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Reservation. Those wanting to assist with the search are asked to meet at the Boys and Girls Club at 15424 K Road in Mayetta. Volunteers are asked to park on the west side of the parking lot. Organizers say they need volunteers who can walk on the rough terrain of the area where the search will be conducted. The 70-year-old Rebar, a resident of the reservation, was last seen September 25th at the VFW in Meriden. Five days later, a Silver Alert was issued, with Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse asking area residents to remain on the look out for Rebar, or her silver Chrysler Pacifica. Previous searches have failed to find any clues related to her disappearance.
