(KNZA)-- A Kansas City, Kansas man accused of passing counterfeit money in the city of Hiawatha has entered into a plea agreement.
32-year-old Jeffrey Kosman pleaded “ no contest” Monday in Brown County District Court to two felony counts of making false information and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. In exchange for the plea, two other charges were dismissed.
Sentencing was set for December 7th.
Kosman was arrested in September following an investigation by the Hiawatha Police Department.
In a separate case, Kosman pleaded “ no contest” to a charge of felony theft stemming from the theft of jewelry and a cell phone. Sentencing in that case was also set for December 7th.
Kosman remains in the Brown County Jail, held on a $75,000 bond in the counterfeit cash case and a $25,000 bond in the felony theft case.
