(KNZA)--A Horton man, arrested following a high speed motorcycle chase last month, will be transported to Florida.
Jackson County Attorney Shawna Miller tells MSC News Jeremiah Lamberson is facing serious felony charges in that state.
The extradition follows Jackson County Courtroom proceedings Friday when the 39-year-old Lamberson was sentenced to probation in connection with the chase that began in Holton and ended in Atchison County on September 17th.
Last month, Lamberson pleaded “no contest” to the felony charge of fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.
Miller says Lamberson on Friday received a statutory sentence of 12 months behind bars, but received probation under the law.
