(KLZA)-- Friday and Saturday, October 16th & 17th are Community Cleanup Days in Falls City.
If you have items that are still useful but you don’t want, you can put them out on the curbside with a “free” sign for the “freecycle” event.
The Salvation Army Collection truck will be set up Friday from 5 – 7 p-m and Saturday from 8 a-m until 1 p-m, unless it fills up earlier. Clothing, usable home goods and furniture will be accepted. You can box or bag your items and bring them to the Falls City Library and Arts parking Lot at 14th & Stone Street.
Prescription and illegal drugs and paraphernalia you would like to get rid of may be brought to the Richardson County Courthouse and placed in the drop box on the First Floor of the courthouse at anytime as part of Sheriff Pounds AMNESTY program.
All metals and trash, large and small items and recycling may be brought to Hamilton’s Recycling & Disposal Center Friday from 8 a-m to 7 p-m and Saturday from 8 a-m until 3 p-m.
If you need help with items too big for personal trash removal such as appliances, furniture, metals, grills and such, you can call 402-801-8169 for help to move the items.
Items accepted include tires, for a fee, electronics, used oil, filters, automotive batteries, glass, plastics, cardboard, magazines, catalogs, newspapers, aluminum, tin cans and scrap metals of all kinds.
Paper shredding is also done for a fee and you can get rid of screens and monitors for a fee of $5.
