(KNZA)--A Hiawatha man convicted of hitting another man in the face with a hammer in July has been placed on probation.
22-year-old Devin Hall was given a suspended prison sentence this week in Brown County District Court on a charge of aggravated battery and placed on 24-months supervised probation.
He pleaded no contest in late August to the felony charge.
Hall was charged with assaulting Robert Neubauer on the evening of July 29th in the 100 block of Utah Street in Hiawatha.
Neubauer was transported to the Hiawatha Community Hospital for treatment of injuries and released.
Hall was arrested a few blocks away.
