(KNZA)-- A two-vehicle wreck just north of Holton Wednesday morning sent an elderly Holton man to the hospital.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly before 7:00 at the intersection of U.S. 75 Highway and Columbine Road.
The Patrol says a pickup truck driven by 83-year-old Paul Krogman was northbound on U.S. 75 when he attempted to make a left hand turn onto Columbine Road and was struck by a southbound semi truck driven by 62-year-old Topeka resident Daryl Compton. The semi was pulling three trailers.
Krogman was transported to the Holton Community Hospital with what the Patrol described as disabling injuries.
Compton suffered unspecified injuries, but wasn’t transported to a hospital.
