(KMZA)--The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary and theft in Wetmore.
The Sheriff’s office says early Monday morning around 12:30 an unknown male was seen leaving 503 Nebraska in a dark colored car. The individual had entered an outbuilding and removed several items.
Taken were two chainsaws, a two person cross cut saw and a full 5-gallon gas can. The loss was estimated at nearly $550.
Also the sheriff’s department is investigating the theft of cooper wiring from property located at 72nd and G Road in rural Centralia.
Sometime between noon last Saturday and Monday an unknown person or persons stripped copper from several types of extension cords and wiring at the location valued at more than $1,000.
Anyone with information on either crime is urged to contact the Nemaha County Sheriff’s office.
