(KNZA)-- The Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education is looking at financial viability benchmarks for the district’s schools.
Superintendent Todd Evans says for the third time this year the Board Monday evening talked about the district's Strategic Improvement Plan, with much of conversation about each board members position on defining the financial viability of schools within the district.
Evans says different methods of using standards, or targets, to identify the financial goals of the district’s buildings was discussed, but no decisions were made.
Following discussion, he says the board voted unanimously in support of a method for defining financial viability in USD 113, with the method yet to be determined.
In other business, Evans says the Board voted to enter into a lease agreement with the Cardinal Booster Club and city of Wetmore to construct a football field on the north side of Wetmore.
Most of the field will be constructed on city property, directly north of the baseball field. Evans said the Booster Club is financing and organizing all of the arrangements for the field.
He said the goal is for the Wetmore football team to have home games beginning with the 2016 football season.
The Board in July gave the green light to an 8-man football program at the Wetmore High School, beginning this school year.
