(KMZA)--A single vehicle Nemaha County crash has claimed the life of a Lincoln, Nebraska woman.
Dead is 20-year-old Ashley Vaughn, whose Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed Wednesday night but was not discovered until Friday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says she was eastbound on U.S. Highway 36, 1 ½ miles south of Oneida, when the Jeep went off the south shoulder. The vehicle then came back across the roadway, and then ran off the north shoulder. The Jeep entered a field, jumped a creek, hit an embankment, and then rolled into trees.
Vaughn, not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected.
The crash happened around 11:15 Wednesday night, but due to the terrain obscuring the wreckage from the roadway, it wasn't discovered until around 8:00 Friday morning.
