(KAIR)--A 3-year-old child was transported to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Saturday in Lancaster.
Atchison County Sheriff Jack Laurie says it happened at the intersection of First Street and Kansas Street, after Elijah McBratney ran out in front of a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Lancaster resident Daniel Jennings. Jennings was unable to stop in time, and struck McBratney.
Laurie says the child suffered what appeared to be bumps and bruises, but was transported to the Atchison Hospital as a precaution.
