(Nebraska Radio Network)--There are close calls nearly every day regarding drivers not following school bus safety laws. Triple-A Nebraska spokesperson Rose White says the simple rule to remember is to stop all ways, always.
White says the only exception is when approaching a school bus in the opposite direction on a roadway divided by a median. Drivers should also stop a reasonable distance from the bus to allow children to safely cross the street.
10 pedestrians have been killed on Nebraska roads so far in 2015. Compared to the past four years pedestrian deaths are up 48% in Nebraska.
