(KLZA)--A four-vehicle Nemaha County, Nebraska crash sends five to the hospital.
According to a report from the Nebraska State Patrol, the wreck happened Wednesday morning, on U.S. Highway 75, just north of 732 Road, 3 ½ miles north of Auburn.
Three vehicles were stopped, northbound on the highway, when a vehicle, driven by Cassidy Robertson, of Auburn, approached behind them, apparently not slowing down, according to the drivers of two of the involved vehicles.
The Patrol's report states that the mini van driven by Robertson smashed into the rear of a mini van driven by Tecumseh resident Benjamin Ideus, causing a chain reaction crash with the two vehicles in front of Ideus.
The occupant of the vehicle directly in front of Ideus apparently escaped unhurt, but two inside the lead vehicle, identified as David Herring and Carolyn Herring, both of Mayetta, suffered injuries.
They, along with Ideus, his passenger, Kristine Ideus, of Tecumseh, and Robertson, were transported to Nemaha County Hospital for treatment of injuries.
The patrol report indicates the wreck happened around 10:45.
