(KAIR)--A road resurfacing project on Interstate 29 in Buchanan County has been delayed again.
According to a release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, work crews were originally scheduled to start milling and repaving a stretch of I-29 between Business Route 71 in Andrew County and 1.5 miles south of Route O in Buchanan County on July 27th. However, weather delays on other projects pushed that date back to August 9th, and now the contractor has against rescheduled the start date for August 19th.
The on and off ramps will also be resurfaced, and every effort will be made to keep them open during the work.
Motorists should follow signs posted along the interstate that will alert them to the upcoming work. All work will be conducted at night, after peak travel times, and should be completed each morning by 6:00.
