(KAIR)--A vehicle reported stolen in Atchison Sunday evening has led to the arrest of two people on drug charges.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the vehicle was first reported stolen from an apartment complex located in the 200 block of North Third Street, and “while the officer was taking that report, and announcing to other officers to be on the lookout for this vehicle, several officers spotted that vehicle moving in the 1200 block of North Second. The vehicle was stopped, and although it had been determined that the vehicle had not been stolen as originally reported, a driver and a passenger in the vehicle were found to be in possession of illegal drugs.”
24-year-old Clarissa Grippin and 29-year-old Trenton Kistler, both of Atchison, were booked into the Atchison County Jail. Grippin is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, while Kistler is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.
