(KAIR)--A single vehicle Buchanan County, Missouri crash Monday afternoon sent an Atchison, Kansas woman to the hospital.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 30-year-old Heather Denton was southbound on Missouri Highway 45 when her Chevy Cobalt went off the west side of the roadway. She overcorrected, sending the car skidding across the roadway, where it ran off the east side and into a ditch, where it collided with a utility pole.
Denton was transported by Atchison EMS to Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph, suffering from what the Patrol identifies as serious injuries.
She was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt when the wreck happened around 2:45 Monday afternoon near the city limits of Lewis and Clark Village.
