(KNZA)--A St Joseph man charged in connection with a fatal crash in January has been bound over for trial.
Daniel Ray Maddock waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday in a Buchanan County courtroom on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Police say Maddock was allegedly driving under the influence when he ran a stop sign at 12th and Church Streets in St. Joseph on January 3, striking another vehicle. His passenger, Richard Osborne, was killed in the crash.
A judge denied a motion to reduce Maddock’s $60,000 bond as he awaits trial.
He is scheduled to be arraigned August 10th.
