(KAIR)--A preliminary hearing date has been set for an Atchison man accused of assaulting police and EMS personnel.
66-year-old Joseph Blasi made an appearance in Atchison County District Court Monday afternoon, where a preliminary hearing date was set for August 19th.
Blasi was arrested on July 18th after falling down in an alley on Commercial Street. He allegedly engaged in a confrontation with EMS personnel and police officers who were called in to assist.
Blasi was transported to the Atchison Hospital for treatment, where he allegedly continued the confrontation with police and medical personnel.
