(KAIR)--Police in Atchison are seeking two men who allegedly took part in a robbery late Tuesday afternoon.
Police Chief Mike Wilson says the victim involved was a 25-year-old male who “was approaching a convenience store on the 500 block of Utah, and this silver car drove by him, when the male passenger jumped out of the car,
approached him, drug him down the alley just south of U.S. 59, threw him to the ground, struck him in the face, and then took a wallet and a phone from him. He then, ran to the nearby store for help. The male got back into the car, and the two males drove off.”
Wilson says the four door passenger car then fled the scene, heading south on Sixth Street.
The victim was examined at the scene by Atchison County EMS and was transported to the Atchison Hospital by private vehicle for treatment.
Wilson says the investigation into the identity of the suspects is ongoing.
