(KNZA)--An August 13th preliminary hearing has been set for a St. Joseph man charged in connection with a shooting last week that left another man with serious injuries.
24-year-old Michael Dennis made his first appearance in a Buchanan County courtroom Tuesday morning by video conference on a charge of first-degree assault.
Police say Dennis is accused of shooting a 22-year-old man twice last Thursday in the 100 block of South 19th Street. The victim was transported to Mosaic Life Center in St. Joseph.
