(KNZA)--Jury trials are set for the two men arrested in Hiawatha last month in connection with the murder of a Nodaway, Iowa man.
Both 41-year-old Jon Rubendall and 39-year-old James Bost have entered pleas of not guilty to the related charges.
According to online court records, a jury trial for Bost is set to begin October 7th, while the jury trial for Rubendall is scheduled to start March 2nd.
Both are charged with first degree murder and robbery in the first degree, and will be tried in Adams County, Iowa.
They were arrested June 26th in Hiawatha in connection with the execution style shooting death of 44-year-old Allen Pafford. His body was found June 20th with a bed sheet wrapped around his head and neck and a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
Authorities say the murder stemmed from a $3,000 drug debt.
Both Rubendall and Bost remain jailed, held on bond of $1 million each.
