Mound City School Addition Updated
07/20/2015

(KLZA)-- The Mound City Board of Education received a building project update from Superintendent Ken Eaton last week.

Considerable work on the heating and cooling portion of the project has been accomplished. The outside A/C units on the south and east sides of the building have been mounted to the wall.  However, it was not feasible to install the units on the 1914 building roof structure without causing leak and structural issues.

Spec sheets are being developed for a lighting project in all the facilities. The lighting work is proposed for the Christmas break. Security door proposals as part of the building levy are also being developed.

Principal Korey Miles reported that Mound City High School received the Missouri High School Activities Association Leadership School Award for the 2014-15 school year.

Board members also adopted and approved a number of policies and regulations.  The preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, student activities, staff handbooks, computer user agreements and activity guideline policies were approved for the next school year.

The bid for milk products for the new school year was awarded to Hiland Dairy and the brad bid to Graves.
