(KAIR)--The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced that they will be conducting a field survey at the U Street Bridge over U.S. Highway 73 in Atchison, starting today Wednesday.
According to a release from KDOT, the survey is needed in order to gather information for a detailed design of a proposed improvement. The survey length is a half mile over the bridge and on U.S. Highway 73.
Survey instruments will be used to determine locations of existing features within the corridor.
The survey is expected to be completed in approximately four weeks, weather permitting.
