(KLZA)-- Richardson County Commissioners met with members of the Road and Bridge Department Union Tuesday afternoon to begin negotiations for a contract renewal.
Union representatives submitted a proposal calling for a 4-percent pay raise in each of the two years of the next contract; adding language to add $650 for all full time employees to be only used as a flex spending account to assist non covered health care expenses and or deductible expenses; also proposed was changing the probationary period from 60 days to 30 calendar days.
The Board will review the proposal and the two sides will meet again June 2nd.
